Public Hearing - Frate Barker Road

Purpose: The purpose of the public hearing is to discuss plans to improve 1.3 miles of Frate Barker Road between Brodie Lane and Manchaca Road in Travis County.
 
Description: Proposed improvements include the following:
  • Upgrading Frate Barker from a two-lane rural roadway to a four-lane roadway with a continuous center turn lane
  • The five-lane section would consist of two 12-foot travel lanes in each direction, with a 14-foot continuous center turn lane separating directions of travel
  • Construction of concrete curb and gutter, six-foot sidewalks and five-foot bike lanes
  • The proposed usual right-of-way width would be 120-feet within the proposed project limits.
