Purpose:
The Texas Department of Transportation in conjunction with the Amarillo Metropolitan Planning Organization will conduct a public open house for SL 335, Segment C-2 from FM 1719 to Echo Street and US 87 from River Road to Cherry Avenue in Potter County, Texas. TxDOT personnel will be onsite to answer questions regarding the project. Comments must be received by Friday, February 28, 2020, to be part of the official record.
Description:
The proposed project consists of the following:
- Improving an existing four-lane facility along SL 335 to a four lane divided freeway facility with ramps
- One way frontage roads
- Grade separations over intersecting cross streets
- Provide bike and pedestrian accommodations along SL 335
- Enhancements to US 87 which improve the current four lane divided freeway with modified ramping patterns
- 14 foot outside shared use lane along the frontage roads
- Six foot sidewalks in each direction
The final determination of ROW needed or residential/business relocation requirements will not be known until the schematic is refined.

Memorandum of Understanding:
The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant to 23. U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 09, 2019 and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
