TxDOT's Fleet Resources provide information and guidance relating to the state’s small urban, rural and specialized public transportation fleet. Below you will also find information on vehicle types, advice on how to procure transit vehicles in accordance with Federal Transit Administration standards, and a catalog of the recently purchased fleet now being placed into service.

Vehicle Disposal

Find details below on how to properly dispose of transit vehicles. Information about how to find vehicles that have been identified for disposal is also available.

Such vehicles are transferable to other transit agencies willing to perform any maintenance needed in order to extend their transit service.

Public Transportation Management System

Some information on this page derives from Texas’ Public Transportation Management System (PTMS), the inventory program used to track transit vehicles throughout their service lives. Improvements to PTMS will eventually support Texas transit agencies in asset management planning activities.

Upcoming Changes

The PTMS Records and Reports and the New Vehicle Report are coming soon to this page.
