|Public comment deadline||In order to be considered, comments must be received by 4:00 p.m. on August 8, 2022.|
|When||On July 26, 2022, TxDOT invites you to join the virtual public hearing. Participants can watch the hearing using the livestream link below. To provide verbal comments on the draft 2023 UTP, please join the phone line option. After the public hearing, the presentation and recording will be available for viewing.|
|Where||Virtual Public Meeting and Hearing|
|Purpose||As part of the draft 2023 UTP public involvement, TxDOT conducts a public meeting and a public hearing. The public meeting was conducted on July 7, 2022. A recording of the meeting and Q&A session is available below, along with the presentation slides with speaker notes.|
|Description||TxDOT’s 10-year plan, the Unified Transportation Program (UTP), guides the development of projects around Texas. The UTP Fact Sheet (Hoja de Datos El Programa De Transporte Unificado) provides a summary of the program. Updated annually, TxDOT has been working with its transportation partners to identify projects to be included in the draft 2023 UTP. Public comments and feedback are very important in developing the plan. You can use the “Subscribe to Updates” button on the right to be notified of updates.|
The 2023 UTP was presented at the June 23, 2022, Commission Meeting.
2022 Unified Transportation Program
The 2022 UTP was adopted on August 30, 2021. Information about the 2022 UTP public involvement efforts are available online.
The 2022 UTP public comment period was from July 9, 2021, through 4:00 p.m. CST on Aug. 9, 2021. Public comments were collected via mail, e-mail, phone, and an online comment form.
|Accessibility||The public meeting and public hearing are conducted in English. Persons who have special communication or accommodation needs are encouraged to contact the Transportation Planning and Programming Division at (800) 687-8108. Requests should be made at least three working days prior to a public meeting and/or public hearing. Every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate these needs. Please be aware that advance notice is requested as some accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.|
