What does it mean to Drive like a Texan?

It’s More Than Driving — It’s Living the Texan Way

For most of us, it’s not just about where we’re from — it’s about who we are. Texans carry themselves with a kind of pride you can spot a mile away. It’s in the way we tip our hats, lend a hand, and treat folks with respect, whether they’re a neighbor or a stranger. Texans hold the door open, pull over to help change a flat tire, and say “thank you” with a smile.

But something happens to a lot of us when we get behind the wheel.

We can do better. We can choose to drive with the same kindness and patience we show each other every day.

Bringing Our Values on the Road

Whether you’ve been here six months or six generations, being a Texan comes with responsibility. It’s about more than loving our state. It’s about taking care of the people in it, whether that’s on your front porch, at the grocery store, or out on the road.

That’s why we’re launching Drive like a Texan, a movement to inspire Texas-sized pride and courtesy every time we drive.

It’s a rallying cry that goes beyond safety. Drive like a Texan is about showing the same kindness and respect behind the wheel that we show all the time in person. It’s about proving that Texans lead by example, mile after mile.
