You know Rich, this highway, 635 East, has certainly made its mark on Garland for the last 50+ years and I'm excited to see how this new construction project will do even more for us in the future. You're right Scott, it's taken a lot of work by so many people to get us here and it will be all worth it too see how this highway expansion, and redo empowers Garland and the surrounding area. This project, along with the Shiloh Rd. improvements is really going to make a positive impact on mobility and access for Garland. We will have continuous frontage roads from U.S. 75 to I-30 and more accessible interchanges between our major roads and 635. And the best part, is we have been working hard to be ready for the opportunities this rebuild brings to Garland. When both the 635 and Shiloh Road projects are complete, we will be ready with attractive space for quality development and a new economic driver for Garland at the gateway. Better access in mobility means better transportation for people in the area and it means more jobs, more businesses and a better quality of life. Progress we are making today will open the door for developments that will draw people from across the region and become a catalyst that will benefit all of Garland. This means new businesses, new revenues to support city services and new opportunities for our residents. Yes, all of Garland will benefit from this project and we have a lot to look forward to.
