Today is a great day for our community and a great day for the City of Dallas. My name is Adam McGough and I'm the Deputy Mayor Pro Tem for the City of Dallas, and Council Member for District 10. Here we stand at 635 and Skillman. This is an important interchange for our entire community and our city. It's been one of the most dangerous intersections and one of the most congested areas of our entire region. And because so many people came together to advocate for their community and neighborhood, we are at a place now where change is on the horizon. As we expand and have continuous frontage roads and look towards the new Skillman bridge that will be right here behind me, it provides opportunity and hope for a community that has been locked for so long. And I'm so thankful for those individuals that showed up at meetings, that advocated, signed petitions and have been involved with this for years to get this project moving forward. And I am thankful to our leaders who have held this as a top priority for our region and our state. And so now, we look forward to the construction, which is never the fun part, but we have a vision for what's coming after with economic development, with safer streets and roads, with mobility that can get people to and from their home in a more effective and efficient way. Now we've got real progress here in our city. I ask everybody to join as we celebrate this time and look forward to the future here in the city of Dallas. Thank you.
