Special Notice to Contractors – E-Verify Affirmation Requirement Effective for October 2017 Contracts

Effective with all October 2017 projects, all prime contractors and subcontractors on construction and maintenance projects must submit documentation affirming registration and participation in the Department of Homeland Security’s E-Verify system.

Qualified prime contractors will be unable to bid on TxDOT projects until the documentation has been provided. Subcontractors will not be approved to work on TxDOT projects until the documentation has been provided.

Special Notice to Contractors – Important Policy Change Effective Sept. 1, 2017

Effective Sept. 1, 2017, the Notice to Contractors will only be available electronically by email subscription and posted on the TxDOT website. The Texas Department of Transportation will no longer mail copies of the Notice to Contractors after August 2017.

To promptly receive the Notice to Contractors, please ensure a valid email address is on file for your company. Send any updates to your company’s email address to the Construction Division. Please note that TxDOT will use your designated company email for all electronic correspondence related to bidding and contracts with the Texas Department of Transportation Construction Division.
