I-35 to be resurfaced in Frio County
FRIO COUNTY – The Texas Department of Transportation will rehabilitate and resurface I-35 between US 57 and the Frio/Medina County line beginning Monday, Oct. 21.
The $12 million project will remove the existing asphalt and rehabilitate the foundation before placing new asphalt and pavement markings throughout the work zone. During construction, the contractor will also rehabilitate and resurface 480 feet of I-35 southbound frontage road, north of FM 462.
Advance warning signs will be placed in the area to notify the traveling public of the work zone. Anderson Columbia Co., Inc. of Laredo is the contractor. The project is expected to be complete in August 2025.
