Minute Order 105686: From US 81 northward via Blue Mound, Haslet, Justin, and Krum to IH 35 south of Sanger, a distance of approximately 31.010 miles. (Tarrant and Denton Counties)  Mileage from US 81 southward and westward to BU 287-P transferred to UR 156.

Minute Order 115371 general description: Minute Order 115371 rescinds Minute Order 105686. The result of this rescission is the elimination of the Urban Road (UR) system. The Farm to Market (FM) and Ranch to Market (RM) roadways which were intended to be redesignated as Urban Roads under the provisions of Minute Order 105686 revert back to their FM/RM designations. Minute Order 115371 declares that the provisions of Minute Order 105686 were never implemented, and although the UR designations were in effect during the interim between these two Minute Orders, the affected roadways continued to be referred to by their FM or RM designations. Only the Highway Designation Files made reference to the UR designations during this interim period. Upon the passing of Minute Order 115371, the affected Highway Designation Files have been updated retroactively to reflect the FM/RM designations.

Minute Order 115371 as it affects FM 156: Any mileage that was previously described as "transferred to UR 156" reverts back to FM 156. This is retroactive to the date of passage of Minute Order 105686. Subsequent Highway Designation File (HDF) entries have been revised to describe the path of FM 156 as if the redesignation to UR 156 had not been enacted. The HDF page for UR 156 has been removed.

Minute Order 112421, dated 08/26/2010

From IH 35 south of Sanger, southward via Krum, Justin, and Haslet to US 81, a distance of approximately 31.5 miles (Tarrant and Denton Counties) Description of route reversed. Route realigned due to runway extension at Alliance Airport.

Note: The above description of the limits of FM 156 omits the mileage that had been redesignated as UR 156. With the elimination of the Urban Road system, this mileage reverted to FM 156 retroactively. With this mileage restored to FM 156, the limits are described as follows: From IH 35 south of Sanger, southward via Krum, Justin, Haslet and Blue Mound to BU 287-P, a distance of approximately 38.7 miles.
