These documents contain text of correspondence sent by
TxDOT to the county tax assessor-collectors, statutory agents who provide
vehicle registration and titling services for citizens in Texas. This
information is provided to apprise the general public of issues affecting the
state’s vehicle titling and registration process.
PURPOSE
To advise you of the redesign of the State Official license plate.DETAILS
Attached is a photocopy of the redesigned State Official license plate.
The new plate has the State Seal of Texas (star encircled by olive and live oak
branches and the words, "The State of Texas") located in the top left portion of
the license plate.
The state official license plates that are currently issued will remain valid
and will be replaced with the redesigned plate when the plate is renewed or a
replacement is requested.

In some cases the Registration and Title Bulletins (RTB) contain attachments. If you

Repeat requests are subject to charges in accordance with Open Record
policies. A subscription service is also available for an annual fee of
$250. Subscribers will automatically receive all RTB mailings as they
