TxDOT to the county tax assessor-collectors, statutory agents who provide
vehicle registration and titling services for citizens in Texas. This
information is provided to apprise the general public of issues affecting the
state’s vehicle titling and registration process.
PURPOSE
To provide you with a listing and brief summary of the 27 House
Bills and 16 Senate Bills enacted during the latest legislative
session. All of these impact VTR and, in most cases, your
operations to some degree. Those with the highest potential VTR
impact are shaded.
DETAILS
Ten of the bills are effective immediately and are noted.
Enacted legislation that has a significant impact on current or
future vehicle title and registration processing will be
addressed separately in future RTBs.
