Remote Sticker Printing System (RSPS) Version 1.2.3
Update |
These documents contain text of correspondence sent by
TxDOT to the county tax assessor-collectors, statutory agents who provide
vehicle registration and titling services for citizens in Texas. This
information is provided to apprise the general public of issues affecting the
state’s vehicle titling and registration process.
PURPOSE
To provide information regarding the steps necessary to complete
the distribution of the RSPS Version 1.2.3 release.
DETAILS
In order to ensure all RSPS units are synchronized with RTS,
counties are asked to follow the procedures stated below.
Counties will be notified by the Systems Services Branch-RTS Help Desk the
day prior to implementation. It is critical that all RSPS laptops are updated
immediately after receiving the new RSPS Version 1.2.3 update. As a reminder,
the following steps must be taken to update RSPS units:
- Once implementation is deployed to the county workstations, the main
office must prepare flash drives and flash/update all laptops with the new
version. The user will see no change to the RSPS process.
- Once updates are complete, laptops will automatically reboot.
- At this time, the flash drive must be returned to the county, inserted
into a RTS workstation, and using the RSPS Update Event, verify the
completion of the version update.
