 The
purpose of our Texas-Mexico Border Crossings study is to assess short-term
improvements that can be made to ease congestion around the 26 Texas-Mexico
border crossings. We are analyzing the travel times of passenger cars and
freight to identify and document traffic congestion and operational deficiencies
on both the state and local roadways on the U.S. side.We have contracted with consulting firm, RJ RIVERA Associates, Inc., to
conduct the study. Results will be provided to the Border Trade Advisory Committee.
