Description

The crossing is a two-lane road that runs above the Lake Amistad Dam. The border station was completed in 1969.

The crossing is also known locally as Amistad Dam and Presa la Amistad.

Identified Needs

This crossing is restricted to passenger vehicles only. Identified needs include intelligent transportation system (ITS) devices (such as traffic cameras or dynamic signs) for motorist information and flashing beacons at curves located within the study area.
