Our Research and Technology Implementation Office draws upon the knowledge
found in numerous state-supported universities across Texas and combines it with TxDOT’s own
expertise to produce recommendations and devices that benefit Texas travelers.
Emphasis areas for research include construction, pavements, maintenance,
transportation planning, geometric design, right-of-way, environmental
considerations, hydraulics, traffic operations and structures.
