Purpose/Eligible Recipients:
Section 5311(b) funds are provided to rural (nonurbanized) transit agencies
through TxDOT to support transit activities in four categories:
training, technical assistance, research and related support services.
The
funds are awarded to the state to develop and implement training and technical
assistance programs in conjunction with the state’s administration of the
Section 5311 formula program.
Funding Ratios:
100% federal
Remarks:
The governor has designated TxDOT to administer the Section 5311(b)
program.
