Although the e-Tag system is still being tested and
its use is not yet mandatory, please begin using it for all
tags immediately.
Please begin collecting the $5 Buyer Tag Fee if you are
not already doing so.
e-Tag System Troubleshooting
There may still be a few problems generating e-Tag
images. Frequently, processing problems are the result of
various types of Internet service, computer equipment and
software being used.

e-Tag Workarounds
Here is a series of workarounds for common problems:
Problem 1: I can enter my data, view and print
the e-Tag images.
- Your system is working properly. Thank you for your
patience.
Problem 2: I can log onto the system and enter
data but I can’t print the e-Tag images.
- Please enter the data into the system as you
normally would.
- After generating the tags (at the printing step)
write down the VIN, e-TAG number and all relevant
information and then manually enter them into the new
templates.
- After that print and bag as usual.

Problem 3: I can’t get all of my information out
of the system.
- Your desired DBA may not be listed or other
information may be missing from the tag data.
- If nothing is working, you may continue to use the old
templates, located in the table at the bottom of this
page, until use of the system is made mandatory.

Important updates are distributed to authorized dealers
