• The operator of a permitted vehicle, along with law enforcement authorities, is responsible for determining whether or not road conditions are hazardous, with law enforcement authorities making the final determination. • A permitted vehicle may travel in maintenance and construction zones provided the permitted load does not exceed the restrictions published by the department.
