Administrative Rules for Motor Carriers

We publish administrative rules for motor carriers and oversize/overweight loads as the rules go through the proposal and adoption process. After they have been approved, the proposed and the adopted versions will be removed from this page. To read current rules, visit the Texas Register.

04/11/08 Adopted 43 TAC §18.1, §18.2; §§18.10, 18.11, 18.13, 18.14, 18.16, 18.18, 18.19; §18.31, §18.32, and §§18.70 - 18.76 regarding motor carrier registration and insurance requirements, unified carrier registration, investigations and inspections, records, penalties, suspension and revocation, administrative proceedings, settlement agreements, implications for nonpayment of penalties, and registration suspension ordered under Family Code.

Proposed repeals of 43 TAC §§18.80 - 18.96, §§18.100 - 18.10 regarding vehicle storage facilities and nonconsent towing fees schedule.The deadline for receipt of written comments regarding these proposed repeals is 5 p.m. on May 12.
