Ray Stoker, Jr. received his
undergraduate and graduate degrees from
Baylor University. After graduating from the
Baylor University Law School, he served as
the briefing attorney for Texas Supreme
Court Justice Robert W. Calvert. He later
went into private practice specializing in
civil trial work. Mr. Stoker was appointed
to a six-year term on the Texas Transportation Commission in July 1985 and for
the next eight years served as both a member and the chairman of the commission.
In 1990, he received the Odessa heritage Award for Excellence in Community
Service and in 1991, he was awarded the Outstanding Citizen of Odessa award by
the Odessa Chamber of Commerce. |
