Recycled Materials Mapping System Instructions

This interactive map helps roadway designers, project managers and contractors locate and contact facilities that generate or process a specific roadway recycled material such as concrete, compost or slag.

Browser Information

With a PC, use Internet Explorer (version 6.0 or higher), Firefox or Opera browsers. With a Mac, use either Safari or Firefox browsers. If you're using the GNU/Linux platform, Firefox will perform best. Turn off pop-up blocker software to view this site successfully.

Instructions

Select the Zoom In Button button. Click and hold the mouse button at the starting point of the area of interest then drag the cursor to create a box. When you release the mouse button, the map will zoom into the area selected.  Alternatively, you may select the Zoom In Button button and click on the map.  The map will incrementally zoom in for each click.

Select the Information Button button to retrieve information on a facility. Once you have selected the Information Button button, click on a facility in the display/map area. A dialog box will pop up with detailed information about the selected facility.  To print the information contained in this dialog box from Netscape or Internet Explorer, press the CTRL and the P keys simultaneously.

Icon Description
Full Extent Button Click this button when you want to zoom to the entire state.
Zoom In Button Zooms in on the position you click or the box you define in the view.
Zoom out button Zooms out from the position you click or the area you define in the view.
Zoom back button Zooms back to the previous extent you were viewing.
Pan Button At any time, you can pan the view by clicking and dragging the cursor in any direction.
Dialog box button Will bring up the dialog boxes to select generator or processors of recycled material.
Information Button Will bring up a dialog box with information about the selected facility.
Print Button Prints to the printer.
Select multiple features box selector button Select multiple features by placing a box around them.
Clear selected features button Clear selected features.
