Partnering Program Workshops

The need for conducting a partnering workshop is determined by the district engineer, division or office director. Contributing factors in making this decision may include:

  • project complexity,
  • the impact on the traveling public,
  • high-profile projects,
  • a high degree of risk for citizen complaints, or
  • contract requirements such as:
    • Road User Cost (RUC), or
    • coordination between multiple parties.

Facilitator Selection

Once the decision is made to conduct a partnering workshop, a facilitator must be selected. Only those external facilitators from the approved partnering facilitation services vendor list [pdf, 2 pages, 33kb] that satisfy the requirements outlined in the partnering specifications [pdf, 13 pages, 40kb] may be selected. TxDOT or contractor facilitators may also be selected. All facilitators should conduct workshops in accordance with the approved partnering workshop modules.
