The following Special Provisions modify, amplify, or amend the General
Provisions with respect to the clauses cited below and no other clauses or
requirements of these items are waived or changed hereby. The Special Provisions
shall take precedence over the General Provisions.

SP-4. Modify SECTION 40 - SCOPE OF WORK as follows:
In Paragraph 40-02 ALTERATION OF WORK AND QUANTITIES, add the following:
For AIP contracts all supplemental agreements shall be approved by TxDOT
and shall include valid wage determinations of the U.S. Secretary of Labor
when the amount of the supplemental agreement exceeds $2000. However, if the
contractor elects to waive the limitations on work that increases or
decreases the originally awarded contract or any major contract item by more
than 25 percent, the supplemental agreement shall be subject to the same
U.S. Secretary of Labor wage determination as was included in the originally
awarded contract.
All supplemental agreements shall require consent of the Contractor's
surety and separate performance and payment bonds.
