As a support service of Texas state government, Flight Services has two major
functions:
- Aircraft Operation - Flight Services provides air transportation to
state officials and employees traveling on official state business.
- Ground Services - Flight Services supplies maintenance and repair
services to all state-owned aircraft (excluding the instructional aircraft
operated by Texas State Technical college
in Waco and Sweetwater) and provides fuel and hangar storage services for
all Austin-based state aircraft.
