As of September 2011, state law allows TxDOT to create a 75 mile
per hour speed limit on any state highway if found to be reasonable
and safe through an engineering study. Each new 75 mph speed limit
must be approved by the Texas Transportation Commission.
The tables below show approved 75 mph zones and are divided by the month in which the Commission approved the speed limit increase.
