Instructions for Awarded
Non-Infrastructure Projects
Note: Only complete these forms once you have been notified by TxDOT
that your project has been approved.
General Instructions
All non-infrastructure agreements must be executed no later than Nov. 30,
2010. After that date, projects without executed agreements will be canceled.
Any exception to this deadline must be approved in writing by TxDOT.
In order to expedite your grant, please:
- Prepare your grant package using
Form 1857-SRS - Checklist for Texas SRTS School Grant Review
- Use only the forms indicated for your approved non-infrastructure
project
- Fully complete each required form
- Complete forms as given, without changes, unless you have prior approval
from TxDOT's Traffic Operations Division

Additional Grant Requirements and Information
- Requests for Reimbursements - The recipient may elect to submit requests
for reimbursements on a monthly or quarterly basis. Indicate on the Action
Plan (Form 1852 - SRI or 1852 - SRS) the proposed scheduled for submitting
RFRs.
- On-Site Monitoring - Grants will be monitored by TxDOT within 180 days
of grant approval.
- Public Information and Education Plan -
Form 1890-SRS must be completed for any project with a public
information and education component.
- Conduct pre-project and post-project evaluation of students travel mode by using the
National Center for SRTS
Student Travel Tally and
Parent Survey.
- Submit student travel data collected to the
National Center for
SRTS.
- Any documentation (forms, surveys, flyers, etc.) associated with the
Safe Routes to School Program must be submitted to TxDOT for written
approval prior to final production and distribution.
All Grants - Once Completed
Prior to execution, please
e-mail all completed forms to
the Traffic Operations Division or fax them to (512) 416-3299. Once your
submission has been reviewed and approved by TxDOT, send a printed copy of the
completed and signed package to:
