Open House - SH 71 (Riverside Drive to SH 130)

Where:	Del Valle Opportunity Center Cafeteria 5301B Ross Road Del Valle, TX 78617	When:	Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010 5 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Purpose:	An open house to present proposed improvements to 6.5 miles of State Highway (SH) 71 in Travis County from Riverside Drive to SH 130. Also, the meeting notice serves as advisement to the public that the Notice of Intent (NOI) to prepare a supplemental environmental impact statement (SEIS) for the project is being rescinded.
Description:	Proposed improvements include: At Riverside Drive, construction of an underpass on SH 71 East of Riverside Drive, removal of the traffic light and three median crossovers on SH 71 between US 183 and Spirit of Texas Drive. These median crossovers are located at Brandt Drive and Thornberry Road, as well as the haul truck crossover between them. Construction of a superstreet on SH 71 at FM 973. A superstreet is an intersection design that is intended to reduce wait times at traffic signals.
