Public Hearing - SH 107 Improvements

Where:	San Carlos Elementary School Cafeteria 505 S. 83rd Street San Carlos, TX	When:	Thursday, November 12, 2009 Exhibit Viewing: 5:30 p.m. - 6 p.m. Presentation: 6 p.m.
Purpose:	A public hearing to allow the public an opportunity to view project details and provide comments on the proposed improvements to State Highway (SH) 107 in Edinburg.
Description:	Proposed improvements include: Reconstruction and widening of 7 miles of SH 107 from United States Highway (US) 281 in Edinburg to Farm-to-Market (FM) 493 in La Blanca. Expand the current 4-lanes to a 6-lane divided rural roadway to allow for additional travel lanes within an existing 152-foot to 176-foot right of way (ROW). Median improvements. Additional ROW needed to realign South Cesar Chavez Road and accommodate traffic signals at 28th Avenue. No displacements of individuals, families, farms or non-profit organizations are anticipated.
