Public Meeting - FM 493

Where:	Runn Elementary School On US 281, 1/4 Mile West of FM 493 Donna, Texas	When:	Tuesday, November 17, 2009 Exhibit Viewing Period - 5:30 p.m. Presentation - 6 p.m.
Purpose:	A public meeting to allow the public the opportunity to view the project details and provide comments on the proposed improvements to 6.65 miles of Farm-to-Market (FM) 493, from Business (BUS) 83 to Champion Street.
Description:	Proposed improvements include: The existing curb and gutter roadway would be overlaid with asphalt concrete pavement and striped for four 12 foot travel lanes with 8 foot shoulders. From Champion Street to US 281, FM 493 would be widened and reconstructed from two 12 foot travel lanes with 2 foot shoulders to two 12 foot travel lanes with 10 foot shoulders. Future construction would be a four 12 foot travel lane curb and gutter section with shoulders and a continuous left turn lane. Would require a total of approximately 32.02 acres of additional right-of-way (ROW).
