Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge Expansion Project
Notice of availability of final environmental assessment
| Purpose | This notice advises the public that the City of Pharr, in cooperation with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), has issued a final environmental assessment (EA) for the proposed Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge Expansion project, and that the final EA is available for public review. |
| Description | The proposed project would add a second adjacent “twin” structure west of the existing Pharr International Bridge from the Pharr POE to the International Boundary with Mexico (Rio Grande) in Hidalgo County, Texas. The approved final EA is on file and available for inspection Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the City of Pharr, 118 S. Cage Blvd., Pharr, Texas 78577. It is also available online at https://pharr-tx.gov (scroll down to PUBLIC NOTICE / AVISO PÚBLICO) and at www.txdot.gov keyword “Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge.” Pursuant to 23 CFR 771.119(h), FHWA will issue a finding of no significant impact (FONSI) for this project no sooner than 30 days after the issuance of this notice of availability. |
