Purpose The TxDOT Paris District is proposing improvements to I-30 from Monty Stratton Parkway to East of FM 513 in Hunt County, Texas.
Description

The proposed project is approximately 12.43 miles in length. The existing I-30 consists of four 12-foot-wide mainlanes (two in each direction) with 4-foot-wide inside shoulders and 10-foot-wide outside shoulders. The existing right of way varies between 274 and 461 feet wide. The proposed improvements would add an eastbound and westbound mainlane along I‑30 from Monty Stratton Parkway to FM 513 that would increase the number of mainlanes to three 12-foot-wide travel lanes in each direction and would increase inside shoulders to 10 feet in width. Frontage roads would be converted to one-way frontage roads. A 10-foot-wide shared use path (SUP) is proposed on the outside of each frontage road through the City of Greenville, from the western project limit to the I-30/Division Street interchange. The proposed project would also include reconstruction of multiple interchanges and work on several cross streets, including Monty Stratton Parkway, US 69 (Joe Ramsey Boulevard N), BUS 69 (Moulton Street), Division Street, Lamar Street, SH 24, and FM 513. The proposed right of way would be a minimum of 300 feet wide throughout the project area.

The proposed project would, subject to final design considerations, require additional right of way and potentially displace five billboards. Although additional right of way would be required, no residential or commercial structures are anticipated to be displaced at this time. Information concerning services and benefits available to affected property owners and information about the tentative schedule for right-of-way acquisition and construction can be obtained from the TxDOT Project Manager, Mahi Naga, by calling 409-767-3862.

The proposed project would include construction in wetlands and an action in a floodplain. Any available environmental documentation/studies, maps and drawings showing the project location and design, tentative construction schedules, and other information regarding the proposed project are on file and available for inspection Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the TxDOT Greenville Area Office, 3001 I-30 East, Greenville, TX 75402 at 409-767-3862. Project materials are also available online on this webpage.

Accessibility TxDOT makes every reasonable effort to accommodate the needs of the public. The in-person public meeting and the virtual meeting option will be conducted in English.
