The in-person option will be held on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023 from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm in the Mesquite Training Center, Building D, at the TxDOT Lubbock District Office,135 Slaton Road, Lubbock, TX 79404.

Purpose TxDOT is proposing a bridge replacement on Yucca Lane which spans I-27, along with the replacement of braided ramps inside Lubbock, TX.
Description

TxDOT is preparing to replace the Yucca Lane Bridge, which spans I-27 in North Lubbock, and replace two additional bridge structures just south of Yucca Lane. TxDOT will replace these three existing bridge structures due to their physical deterioration. The existing bridge clearance height of Yucca Lane is 16.3’ and will be raised to 18.5’ to meet the revised TxDOT standards for freight corridors. The anticipated new bridge height will require TxDOT to raise the northbound and southbound I-27 frontage roads. All construction activities will be performed in phases and will be on display along with the proposed detour routes.

The anticipated bridge replacements do not require additional right-of-way, and there will be no displacements.

Maps and drawings showing the project location and design, tentative construction schedules, and other information regarding the proposed project are on file and available for inspection Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the TxDOT Lubbock District Office, 135 Slaton Road, Lubbock, TX 79404. These materials will also be available in hard copy form for review at the in-person option.
