Purpose

TxDOT Fort Worth District is proposing to reconstruct and widen 4.7 miles of roadway from North of West Fork Trinity River to South of I-820 in Tarrant County, Texas.

Description

The existing SH 199 four-lane divided corridor would be expanded to a six-lane boulevard section. Sidewalks would be constructed on both sides of the roadway from the project beginning to Ohio Garden Road. North of Ohio Garden Road, the sidewalk would remain on the north side and the south side would have a ten-foot shared-use-path (SUP). As part of the proposed project, intersections would also be reconfigured to improve safety throughout the corridor.

Although additional right of way would be required, no residential or non-residential structures are anticipated to be displaced at this time.

Accessibility

The virtual public meeting and in-person option will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. If you need interpretation or translation services or you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation to attend and participate in the public meeting, please contact Val Lopez at (817) 370-6630 no later than 4 p.m. CT, Monday, June 19, 2023. Please be aware that advance notice is required as some services and accommodations may require time for the Texas Department of Transportation to arrange.
