Purpose The purpose of the hearing is to present the proposed widening of FM 741, from US 175 to FM 548 in Kaufman County, Texas.
Description

The proposed 8.32-mile project includes reconstructing and widening the existing undivided two-lane rural roadway to a proposed divided four lane (ultimate six) urban roadway with 12-foot lanes and 18-foot wide median from US 175 to FM 2757. The project also proposes providing left and right turn bays in certain locations and replacing the two existing bridges over Tributary to Buffalo Creek with a wider and longer bridge to accommodate four 12-foot-wide travel lanes and 10-foot-wide pedestrian/bike shared-use path (SUP) on the southbound side and a 6-foot-wide sidewalk on the northbound side. The project will widen the right of way (ROW) width from existing 70-feet to a 100-foot-wide and a proposed 140-feet wide from US 175 to FM 2757 and to 120-feet wide from FM 2757 to FM 548.
