Purpose TxDOT is proposing to improve FM 1777 from SH 66 to FM 6 in Collin County, Texas.
Description

The proposed project includes the reconstruction and widening of FM 1777 from SH 66 to FM 6. The proposed project involves the reconstruction of the existing two-lane rural roadway to a four (ultimate six) lane divided highway. A continuous six-foot sidewalk will be provided on the west side of the proposed roadway alignment. A continuous 10-foot shared use path will be provided on the east side of the proposed roadway alignment. The proposed project consists generally of four (ultimate six) lanes with curb and gutter, plus a raised median. The roadway passes through the cities of Royse City and Josephine.

The existing FM 1777 right-of-way width ranges from 60-feet to 90-feet wide throughout the length of the project. The proposed ROW width is 140 feet. The proposed improvements would potentially require approximately 46.1 acres of new ROW. The proposed project would require additional ROW and potentially displace structures on commercial and/or residential properties.

Accessibility The public meeting will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. If you need interpretation or translation services or you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation to attend and participate in the public meeting, please contact the Dallas District Public Information Office at 214-320-4480 no later than 4 p.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2022. Please be aware that advance notice is required as some services and accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.
