Purpose TxDOT and Denton County are proposing the reconstruction and widening of US 377 from SH 114 in Roanoke to just south of FM 1171 in Flower Mound within Denton County.
Description

The purpose of the project is to provide capacity and safety enhancements. Proposed improvements include:

  • A standard 4-lane divided urban section with raised medians
  • Curbs
  • Sidewalks
  • Shared-use paths

A major component of this corridor upgrade will be the addition of lanes and pedestrian facilities within the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) floodplain limits where US 377 bridges cross the Denton Creek area north of Roanoke in two locations. This will be the final project to provide these uniform enhancements to the US 377 corridor as the highway limits to the north and south of this project have already been completed or will soon go to construction.

The US 377 proposed improvements include roadway improvements from SH 114 to south of FM 1171 including widening of a two-lane arterial roadway to a four-lane divided arterial roadway for 3.4 miles. The roadway passes through the City of Roanoke and the Town of Flower Mound. The existing and proposed US 377 right-of-way (ROW) width varies between 140-feet to 487-feet.

The proposed project would, subject to final design consideration, require approximately 6 acres of additional ROW.

Accessibility The virtual public meeting and in-person option will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs.
