Additionally, TxDOT is providing an in-person meeting option for individuals who would like to participate in person instead of online. In-person attendees will be able to review the same materials and presentation as the online public meeting.

Purpose TxDOT is proposing improvements to the US 287 corridor, from Boyce Road to Cooke Road in Ellis County, Texas.
Description

The project is located along US 287 from Boyce Road to Cooke Road and includes:

  • Constructing new two-lane northbound and southbound US 287 frontage roads
  • One six-foot sidewalk on the southbound side
  • Ten-foot shared-use path for bicyclists and pedestrians on the northbound side
  • New access ramps
  • New grade separated interchanges

The project is approximately 1.4 miles long. The existing right of way is 250 feet and the proposed right of way ranges between 297 and 324 feet.

The virtual public meeting and in-person option will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. Memorandum of Understanding The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 9, 2019, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and TxDOT.
