Purpose

TxDOT is proposing to widen I-30 from Ferguson Road to Bass Pro Drive, Dallas County, Texas.

Description

The proposed project consists of approximately 12 miles of improvements to I-30 from Ferguson Road to Bass Pro Drive located within the cities of Dallas, Mesquite, and Garland, in Dallas County, Texas. The proposed project would include:

  • Six to twelve main lanes (three to six travel lanes in each direction) varying throughout the project limits
  • Zero to two reversible managed lanes
  • Two to three frontage road lanes in each direction
  • A 10-foot shared use path along both sides of I-30 for a majority of the project limits for bicycle and pedestrian accommodations

Based on the proposed improvements, the right of way (ROW) widths would range between 300 to 450 feet.

Additional right-of-way and easements would be required, and two non-residential structures are anticipated to be displaced at this time.

Accessibility The virtual public meeting and in-person option will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. If you need interpretation or translation services or you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation to attend and participate in the virtual public meeting or in-person option, please contact the TxDOT Public Information Office, at (214) 320-4480 no later than 4 p.m., Monday, April 24, 2023. Please be aware that advance notice is required as some services and accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.
