Purpose The TxDOT Bryan District is proposing intersection improvements at FM 50 South, FM 50 North and OSR along SH 21 in Burleson and Brazos Counties. This notice advises the public that TxDOT will be conducting a public meeting on the proposed project.
Description

The proposed improvements would construct Restricted Crossing U-Turn (R-CUT) intersections to enhance safety and improve the operation of the intersections. These intersections simplify decision-making for drivers and minimize the potential for higher severity crash types, such as T-bone accidents. R-CUT intersections allow left turns into intersecting side roads and eliminate left turns for vehicles exiting the side roads.  Vehicles wanting to make a left from a side road would take a right and then utilize a U-turn offset from the intersection to change direction.  TxDOT does not anticipate any right-of-way acquisition for this project.

Any environmental documentation or studies, maps and drawings showing the project location and design, tentative construction schedules, and other information regarding the proposed project are on file and available for inspection by appointment Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at TxDOT Bryan District Office, 2591 North Earl Rudder Freeway, Bryan, Texas 77803, 979-778-9231. This information will also be available at the meeting.

Accessibility The public meeting will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating in English, one will be provided to you.
