| Purpose | The TxDOT Bryan District in partnership with local leadership is conducting a study to better understand the transportation issues within the City of New Waverly, Walker County, Texas. The study will focus on measures to improve safety and traffic flow. The purpose of the public meeting is to share information about the study and current conditions with the community and to collect feedback about their transportation needs. |

| Memorandum of Understanding | The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 9, 2019, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and TxDOT. |
