TxDOT is hosting an in-person community and business workshop as an opportunity to learn more about the study and to share information about community and environmental resources in the area. TxDOT will also be asking for feedback from the community on current mobility challenges and business-related questions or concerns associated with the study.

Virtual details The US 290 Giddings Mobility Study community and business workshop materials will be posted to this webpage on Monday, Oct. 30, 2023, by 5 p.m.
Purpose At the request of the Giddings City Council and Lee County Commissioners Court, TxDOT has initiated a study that will develop and evaluate preliminary options to improve mobility, safety and emergency response times and to address conflicts with the railroad in the City of Giddings in Lee County.
Accessibility The community and business workshop will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. If you need interpretation or translation services or you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation to attend and participate in the community and business workshop, please contact Shelley Law, at 512-705-9169, no later than 4 p.m. CT, Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2023. Please be aware that advance notice is required as some services and accommodations may require time for the Texas Department of Transportation to arrange.
