| Purpose | The purpose of the virtual public meeting is to receive public comment on the proposed improvements to FM 2720 in Hays and Caldwell Counties, TX. The virtual public meeting will consist of a pre-recorded video presentation and will include both audio and visual components. The presentation will be available online at 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2023. TxDOT is also providing and in-person option for individuals who would like to participate in person instead of online. In person attendees will be able to view the same presentation delivered in the online public meeting, review public materials, ask questions of TxDOT staff and/or consultants, and leave written comments. |
| Description | The proposed project would improve 7.2 miles of FM 2720 from SH 21 to SH 142 in Hays and Caldwell counties, including intersection improvements at CR 235. The purpose of the proposed project is to enhance safety, improve connectivity and improve mobility by providing additional roadway capacity to meet current and future traffic demands due to population growth and increased traffic volumes. Throughout the project limits, the existing roadway is two lanes. Proposed improvements would:
