SH 121/Southwest Parkway and Chisholm Trail

TxDOT and the North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) have agreed to combine the SH 121/Chisholm Trail with the SH 121/Southwest Parkway to enhance the corridor's feasibility and expedite its delivery.

Subject to the NTTA establishing feasibility and the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) Regional Transportation Council funds remaining committed, the NTTA will deliver the entire SH 121 corridor in Tarrant and Johnson Counties.

The first phases of the project have been selected, using $144 million in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds. Mobility improvement projects in preparation for future interchanges at I-20 in Fort Worth and at U.S. 67 in Cleburne will begin in early 2010.
