Public Hearings For Review Of Financial Information

All interested citizens are invited to attend one of the two DFW Connector public hearings on Tuesday, May 26 at 7 p.m. at the DFW Marriott South Hotel located at 4151 Centreport Boulevard in Fort Worth, or at the Ramada Dallas Love Field Hotel located at 1575 Regal Row in Dallas. The public hearings will review the financial information for the comprehensive development agreement (CDA) conditionally awarded by the Texas Transportation Commission on March 26 to NorthGate Constructors.

Financial information will be presented regarding: project financing, duration of tolling, method for setting toll rates, competing facilities, termination for convenience, and toll rates.

The DFW Connector may ultimately double the existing capacity and improve mobility on seven highways, six interchanges and 10 bridges. SH 114 will be widened to as many as 14 main lanes with up to four additional toll-managed lanes and up to seven frontage road lanes. These massive improvements could ultimately rebuild six interchanges at FM 2499, SH 26, SH 121, SH 360, I-635 and International Parkway.

The design/build team will not bring an up-front payment and no long-term lease agreement will result from this CDA. When the project is complete, the team's work is done unless TxDOT chooses to have them provide maintenance.

Copies of the CDA will be available online and at the public hearings for viewing.
