TxDOT is developing a project in Travis County to reconstruct the portion of State Highway (SH) 71 between Riverside Drive and SH 130 into a six-lane tolled freeway with three lanes in each direction.
Six lanes of non-tolled frontage roads (three lanes in each direction) are
also planned.
Grade-separated intersections would be located at Riverside Drive, US 183,
Spirit of Texas, Presidential Boulevard, Farm-to-Market (FM) 973 and SH 130.
The project is dedicated to reducing congestion, enhancing safety, expanding economic opportunity, improving air quality and increasing the value of our roadways.
