I-30 Frontage Road Project Traffic Updates

Construction continues to progress on the frontage roads and overpasses along the Interstate 30 corridor in Texarkana. Sections of the frontage roads between State Line Avenue (US 59/71) and Jefferson Avenue in Texarkana, Ark. were converted to one-way in January 2010. Sections between Summerhill Road (SH 93) and State Line Avenue are still under construction and will be converted at a later date.

Delays

There will be various lane closures as needed between 6:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. on the main lanes of I-30 between west of FM 989 (Kings Highway) and Jefferson Avenue. Lane closures will be temporary, but can occur anytime during this period.

Road Closures

• North Bishop Road -  The northbound lane of North Bishop Road along US 59 near Wal-Mart is closed for work on the new frontage road. Northbound traffic is permanently moved onto the Walton Road intersection to the west. Traffic entering New Boston Road from Walton Drive cannot make left turns, so motorists traveling east on New Boston Road must use the North Bishop Road Intersection.
