LAREDO - Beginning July 13, reconstruction will begin on US 277 2.9 miles north of FM 1664 to 0.2 miles south of FM 1666 in northwest Maverick County to include US 277 through Quemado,Texas consisting of new base materials, structures, asphalt pavement, signing and pavement markings.
Weather permitting on July 13, 2009, Reece Albert, Inc. plans to begin work on US 277 between said limits. As part of the work, the road will be rehabilitated.
The traffic control will limit the existing two-lane configuration to one lane in both directions. One way traffic control will be utilized with flaggers and a pilot vehicle.
The traveling public should drive with extreme caution, and observe all safety signs, traffic control devices and flaggers in the work zone area.
CSJ 0299-03-047 – US 277 Rehabilitation Project in Maverick County is being constructed by Reece Albert, Inc. at a cost of approximately $2.8 million. The project, with limits from 2.9 miles north of FM 1664 to 0.2 miles south of FM 1666 in Maverick County, calls for the roadway rehabilitation of US 277 utilizing new base materials, structures, asphalt pavement, signing and pavement markings. The work area will be approximately 2.5 miles in length. The work is scheduled for completion in December 2009, weather permitting.
