SH 121/183 "Airport Freeway" Cleared by FHWA

FORT WORTH – The Federal Highway Administration has issued a finding of no significant impact on the environmental assessment for proposed construction on SH 121/183 from Interstate 820 to SH 161.

This finding completes the environmental and public involvement requirements for this project and allows TxDOT to continue with the development of this highway that will help accommodate current and expected growth in the area.

The SH 121/183 corridor will ultimately be reconstructed and expanded from six lanes to 12 lanes. This includes a toll-managed “express” lanes facility in the median.
