WILLIAMSON COUNTY – The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will hold
an Open House to discuss plans to improve US 183 in northern Williamson County.
The project would extend from the intersection of US 183 and the future US 183A
north to State Highway 29, a distance of about 3.5-miles. The improvements would
consist of upgrading the existing four-lane undivided highway to a six-lane
divided roadway.
The Open House, held in cooperation with Williamson County, will be conducted
June 13, at Liberty Hill High School, 13125 West State Highway 29 in Liberty
Hill from 5:30 PM until 8:30 PM. Maps and other displays showing the project
alternatives will be available for review and project team members from will be
on hand to answer questions. Those wanting to view the plans before the meeting
may do so at the Williamson County Road and Bridge Office, 3151 S.E. Inner Loop
Dr. in Georgetown. Plans may also be examined at the TxDOT Area Engineer’s
Office, 2727 South Austin Avenue, also in Georgetown.
Both verbal and written comments on the proposals will be accepted at the
meeting. |
